It’s been a very exciting first year, and very much a matter of getting things set up. My intention with the financial report is not to bore you with detail, but to give you a good idea of where your money is going, and hopefully assure you that we are treating your membership fees with respect.

Subscriptions - Of course our biggest income this year has been from our members! We are delighted that in our first year we have signed up:
- 6 schools
- 55 Yoga Elders
- 47 Yoga Teachers
- 18 Trainee Teachers
Shares - Our board members are all shareholders, and we have paid in a total of £2,000 as a sign of our commitment to Yoga Teachers Together and to give us a financial bed to grow from.

Website - Our biggest spend so far has been on our website. If you’ve seen our new website I’m sure you’ll agree it’s worth every penny (and our website designer James is working hard on more exciting updates!)
Services – This is primarily our insurance, and we have just paid for our second year so this value is for two years.
Marketing – This includes our beautiful logo, and our registration and materials for our promotional appearances at the Great Northern Yoga Show and UCLAN’s Yoga Conference in June.
Admin – Largely the fees charged by Stripe and PayPal, but we have also paid members of our team to facilitate the initial processing of members.
The YTT Gathering – You’ll have already heard that we are planning our first Yoga Teacher’s Together Yoga Gathering in June! This is the deposit for our venue Brathay Hall in Ambleside.

As you can see we have a healthy balance to grow from:
- This enables us to make plans for the YTT Yoga Gathering.
- Our website will see further development, with the directory and registration for courses.
- We also plan to appear at more yoga shows and promotional events throughout 2024 to build a bigger, stronger membership.
