Pelvic Embodiment with Jane Dancey

The female pelvis is intimately linked to the cycles of nature, rites of passage, menstruation, procreation, breath and is constantly adapting to physical movement, the nervous system and vestibular system. It is the junction and organiser of the upper and lower parts of our body and allows us to make better movement choices through increased balance, posture, stability and vital blood flow. It provides a network of support for the sexual and elimination organs as well as hormonal regulation.

The pelvis has a potent influence on our physical, emotional and sexual wellbeing, as well as on our sense of self and place in the world, yet for so many, there is disconnect, mystery, pain, shame, and trauma. This paradigm can change - gentle awareness through mapping the landscape of the pelvis, embodied anatomy & education and engaging in trauma-informed practices of movement and breath, a woman can integrate this powerful landscape, and her root.

In this session, we will explore our own relationship with our pelvis through embodied anatomy, pelvic mapping, functional and somatic movement and Breathwork.

Jane Dancey

Jane works from a bio/psycho/social/soul lens and is passionate about helping her clients grow self-awareness, autonomy and body agency.
